The Ashland Grizzlies boys basketball team went on the road to Eugene for the second week in a row and picked up a road win in the MWL. The Grizz beat Thurston 54-39. Ashland led for most of the game sparked by a hot start from Izzy Golden, scoring 11 of his game high 19 points in the first period. Eyera Nogues chipped in 13 points for the Grizz with 8 coming in the second half. Ashland went up 16 early in the third and the lead remained double digits the rest of the night. Thurston’s Bonar led the Colts with 15 in the loss. Ashland’s next game is Tuesday the 7th when they host the Crater Comets.
