South Medford 111

Roseburg 80

One for the history books.

Sophomore star Boden Howell set a new scoring record at South Medford High with 53 points. Breaking Kyle Singler’s previous record of 41.

Not only was there the individual achievement for Boden Howell tonight, but South Medford (16-5 overall, 8-0 league) scored a team record 111 points against Roseburg (14-5 overall, 4-4 league).

For the Panthers, Boden Howell’s 53 also wasn’t the only career high stat of the night. Junior guard Jackson Weiland recorded a career high 11 assists to go with his 28 points.

For Roseburg, Junior Mykah Mendoza set a career high of 39 points as well.

The Panthers have won 14 of their last 15 games. And now sit 8-0 in the SWC. South just needs to win a single game within their last 4 to come out as SWC champions. They next play at Grants Pass next Tuesday Feb. 14th.
