Kathryn Nicole Perkins, 32 of Myrtle Creek Oregon passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Katie was born in Oakland California on August 26 1990 to parents Theresa Patton and John Perkins.

Katie touched many people with her beautiful blue eyes and quick smile. She and her sister Hannah were well traveled as kids, living in many diverse communities from Guam to Kentucky.

While in high school Katie  was the 1st chair flute at the Far East Band Tournament in Okinawa Japan. She took part in a three month exchange program and became fluent in Japanese.

After graduating from high school in Guam Katie went on to attend Eastern Kentucky University.

Katie met Sal in Las Cruces, New Mexico while attending New Mexico State University. In 2017 they were blessed with two twin boys, Angelo Benjamin and Andreas Bartholomew Cabanas. Her miracle babies spent two months in the NICU. Katie’s status as warrior mama began immediately as she nurtured and advocated for her boys tirelessly, loving them fiercely.

Soon after the boys were born, Sal and Katie moved to Myrtle Creek Oregon to be near Katie’s parents Daron and Theresa Patton, where they  currently reside.

Katie blessed many within the community with her angelic voice and her musical talents. She played the Flute as well as the piccolo, saxophone and some piano.

Katie is survived by her boys, Andreas and Angelo, and her love, Salvador Cabanas,  She is also survived by her  parents Daron and Theresa Patton and  John and Jennifer Perkins. Katie has two sisters, Hannah Burmeister and Amalia Perkins.

Her grandparents Hywell and Barbara Patton predeceased Katie and we know that they were there to welcome Katie to Heaven.

Katie is survived by grandparents, Pamela Atkins, Gary Brown and Charla and Bill Hill plus multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Service was held at Open Bible Christian Center in Riddle on Saturday April 1, 2023.

Her celebration of life was blessed with beautiful flowers brought by family and friends knowing how much  Katie loved flowers.
