On Sunday, January 15, in the early morning the beautiful Nancy Marie Kirkpatrick Carpenter went home to be with the Lord. This was absolutely unexpected! Nancy’s wonderful daughter Jennifer and her family had recently moved to Florida and Nancy was there on vacation. They had a wonderful few days of love, joy and adventuring when suddenly Nancy suffered a massive stroke and brain hemorrhage on the evening of Tuesday, January 10th. The family gathered and Nancy was placed on hospice four days later.
Many of you know Nancy because she was an amazing music teacher in the Medford School District for 16 years. Her knowledge and love of music and children made her the incredible teacher that she was! Many people didn’t realize, but Nancy also taught the 5th & 6th grade in southern California for 15 years before moving up to Oregon. Nancy is survived by her faithful husband Larry of 39 years and her only daughter Jen Marie and her husband Johnathan and 3 children.
Nancy’s family welcomes your prayers during this incredibly difficult time. And, if you feel led to donate financially to the family, I know they would be grateful! With Nancy being in Florida on vacation, there are many unexpected expenses that the family has now accrued including medical expenses – 6 days in the hospital and then returning to Oregon. Thank you so much for considering doing so… Anything would be greatly appreciated!
Nancy’s service will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2900 Juanipero Way in Medford, Oregon.
Will you kindly share this so that all of her friends and former students will know? We invite everyone to come to the service to celebrate the amazing life of Nancy! Thank you so very much. <3
