North Girls Win State Title!
The North Medford girls wrestling team capped their amazing season with a state championship at Memorial Coliseum Sunday. North was led by individual state champions Skyler Hall at 100 lbs. and Estella Gutches at 135 lbs.
The Black Tornado girls were able to hold off a Thurston team they had lost to at their regional tournament. The final scores were North Medford 78, Thurston 65.
The North Medford coaching staff, led by Tony Champion also won the 6A/5A coaches of the year award.
