Cayla Williams and Katie Machado pitched back-to-back complete game

No. 10-ranked Southern Oregon opened the season with a 4-3, 9-4 sweep of Vanguard (Calif.) on Friday at University Field.

In her Game 1 start, Williams struck out four while limiting the Lions to four hits and two earned runs. She also led the Raiders with three hits on the day, lining RBI singles in both ends of the doubleheader and a two-run double in Game 2.
