SOU closes CCC home schedule with No. 10 LCSC, WWU

Lauren Weinberg and Riley Donovan jump-started No. 10 Southern Oregon’s offense following the Raiders’ first loss, as they bounced back from a 4-3 extra-inning setback with an 11-0 thumping in five innings for a split with Vanguard (Calif.) on Thursday.

Katie Machado earned her second win of the young season in Game 2, striking out seven in a two-hit complete game. Weinberg went 3-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and three runs scored, and Donovan hit her 29th career home run.
