Kami Walk scored her 1,000th career point and the No. 25-ranked Southern Oregon women’s basketball

The team padded its third-place lead in the Cascade Conference standings with a fifth consecutive win, 74-64 against Northwest (Wash.) on Friday night at Kristi Brodin Pavilion.

Walk, a junior forward, registered her fourth double-double in five games with 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and in the process became the 20th member of SOU’s 1,000-point club. The Raiders (18-5 overall, 14-3 CCC) were comfortably ahead throughout, building a 20-point lead through the first three quarters.
